Truck Rallys Vs. Van Rallys

i just picked up a set of 5 lug rally wheels and I am curious if they are truck or van rallys? Any way to tell the difference with a tape measure? Thanks
Michael

PS: I tried to use the search function but its not working right now.

Re: Truck Rallys Vs. Van Rallys

The measurement will be stamped on the inside of the wheel. If you have 7" or 8" they are truck. If you have 6.5", thay are van. You will probably have to clean off an inch or so of dirt and brake dust to see the measurement

Haha. Ok. I know about the stamps, just haven't looked yet. I did not know that the widths were different between the trucks and vans. Isn't the offset different too? Thanks for the info.

PS: I tried to use the search function but it keeps giving me a fatal error message screen.

I do not know about the offset, but I am sure someone else will.

Re: Truck Rallys Vs. Van Rallys

here is a pict of my truck with van rallies, the front is perfect the back is way too skinny reason why I am trying to trade for two truck rallies for the staggered look.

Re: Truck Rallys Vs. Van Rallys

Truck rallys are a little deeper set. Van rallys arent quite so deep set. Ive got van rallys on the front with Truck rallys on the back, sounds stupid, but i love the whole "small- big" look.

Any chance you could get me a measurement on the depth of the van vs. the truck ones?

I just looked at mine. A set of 5 supposedly. Anyways, 4 of them are stamped 15x8. The 5th one I can not find a stamp on it but it measures out to be a 15x7.

Re: Truck Rallys Vs. Van Rallys

From the top inside of the van rally, its about two inches, from where the slots are, from where the slots are on the truck rallys, its about 3- 3 1/4. tried to not get soaked in the t storm, lol. I would almost bet the set you have are truck rallys, the truck rallys on the back of mine are also 15x8

Are u talking about from the lip of the rim to the slot?

Re: Truck Rallys Vs. Van Rallys

I get 2.5 on the 15x7 and 3.5 on the 15x8s. That is measuring from the lip of the rim to the slots.

no problem, the 15x8 are definatley truck rallys, id be willing to bet money that the 15x7 is a van.

I like that setup. I'm trying to get the time to make a set of stocker hubcap style wheels for my new project. Heres my truck with 8'' on rear and 6.5'' on front.

That's the setup I really want to do also. I also want a set of the stock steels that will take the dog dish caps. Staggered of cores.
