anyone tried this fan?
Afternoon,
Anyone used this electric fan setup from LMC? Wondering if it's any good for the price.

Re: anyone tried this fan?
save your money and dont buy there junk. thats incredibly overpriced. dual fan setups can be had for about that price. the cheapest thing to do is go to the junkyard and pull a dual fan setup off of a car. i took mine from a 93 maxima. and with a tiny bit of trimming on the shroud fits perfect. i cant take any pics right now but i used the same setup on my 77 wrecker and my 72 i sold. this looks kinda familiar dont it http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G4904/ heres a dual fan setup too http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G4850/ .

Re: anyone tried this fan?
Thanks guys. Is the dual setup better than a single? I also saw somewhere on this site a few months ago using a Jeep cherokee fan which is a single

Re: anyone tried this fan?
A Ford Windstar fan mounts up nicely too. Dual fans and they cooled my truck great.

Re: anyone tried this fan?
I've got a big block radiator and single 16" S blade fan w/shroud and it keeps my motor plenty cool in the summer heat with the a/c on.

Re: anyone tried this fan?
is the big block radiator larger or a thicker core than the stock 28 by 19 of a standard C10?

Re: anyone tried this fan?
You can find those fans used from ebay, clist and at your local pick and pull. You can also try http://www.car-part.com to find it in your area. I found a new set at a local radiator shop for about $115 for the assembly.
gchemist, what else is needed to install these on our trucks? I originally got mine for my TBSS but haven't got around to installing it.
