Tips to Adjusting or Aligning Headlights
Guys,
I did a front end conversion and need a quick tip on how to align my headlights... I went from a 91gmc Suburban front end to 81 yes I know thats reverse for most of you but that's what I wanted to do since I was born in 1981. Also if anyone knows how to run both hi and low beams all the time. Obviously I would have to change the hibeam light but which wire do I change. |

Re: Tips to Adjusting or Aligning Headlights
why? because they are brighter...that's why...
there should be a thread on here on the headlight relay upgrade...you can hook both the lows and highs into the high beam relay if you want all 4 highs...that's what I did...still need to adjust my headlights though...lol |

Re: Tips to Adjusting or Aligning Headlights
I can't figure out how to set the lights just perfect. What's the trick?
Do I park 5 feet away from my garage door and then set the lights to shine at x height to be level??? Currently one is shining into left field and the other is too low on the road. And I would like to wire my lights so the all 4 plus my bumper lights are on all the time for running lights. I don't want to be in Hi-beam mode all the time. That would just blind other drivers. I figure these trucks have 2 lights stacked on top of each other why not use them. I was going to wire them all together on the original 91gmc front end so that all 4 would be on but never did. I just think it looks dumb having 2 lights out considering never use hi-beams. |

Re: Tips to Adjusting or Aligning Headlights
trial and error, line em up on a garage door where they look good, then take it for a spin, if the lights are amied too high or too low, just pull up to the garage door and move them where they need to be, and take it for another drive
whe i do the garage door thing. i stay about 20-25 feet away from the garage door |
