366 oil pan on big block Will if fit

I want to put a higher capacity oil pan on my big block in my 78 2 wheeler. I have one off a 366. It looks like the same pan except the sump is longer. Will I be able to put this pan in my motor. has any one done it, can I do it with the motor in, or out. Any help would be great. Oh ya what pickup goes on it??

Can't comment on 2wd's, but I have a that pan on my 4wd. It's close to the front crossmember.

There are also 2 different size pans. I have an 8qt on mine (4x4) , but also a larger one that I do not believe will fit as I think it will hit the crossmember.. Both are off tall deck 427's

The tall decks used 2 different pans. The one with the sump thats half the length of the pan will fit. The other pan has a sump 3/4's of the length of the pan and will not clear the crossmember.

mine is the half length pan , does that mean that I need a 9" pickup tube. Im guessing so because the 3/4 pan wouldnt be as deep so it uses the 8". Or am I wrong
