Hi all, I have a 71 3/4 ton GMC and I had to get rid of the fuel tank and sending unit. I picked up a good tank and sending unit out of a 72 chevy someone was parting out. Only problem is the new tank is an EEC tank with extra connections and the sending unit has 2 hoses instead of one. Can I cap off the extra nipples and use it this way or do I have to install a charcol canister and run the lines. Thanks in advance for any help.

You can just plug the holes on the tank you don't need. No problems with the switch. I have a 72, ECC tank I used in my truck.

How would you plug off the extra fittings on the tank, would you use rubber plugs or something more permanent, like epoxy?

I am using rubber (fuel safe) plugs.
