Truck Lowering Opinions Needed

Hey Guy's,

A club member has a 93 1500 short fleet he would like to drop, He likes the stance of my 97. Mine was dropped by the PO so all I know is it's a 4/6 with Bell Tech components.

I told him I'd do some gandering around and check here on the board.

This is what I've come up with since he's on a budget like most;

I tried the "Search" feature but that 60 second wait (different key words) has a lot to be desired.....

OK choice ?

Any problems with DJM components ?

Any better place to purchase ?

Thanks !

You are right on target. I have had good luck with DJM products, as well as Summit Racing.

You might do better, if you consider Summit "white box" brand.

Re: Truck Lowering Opinions Needed

This was years ago ,but I had some problems with a spindle that was a factory flaw. DJM didn't give a damn. Didn't want to hear about it. Didn't want to see it. Nothing. I was on my own. A couple of years before that I had a problem with a BellTech spindle. They sent a new set and paid to have them installed. They also wanted the old set back. That's probably to protect themselves. I like a company that stand behind it products.

Thanks N2, The "white box" brand coil springs (Ground Force) were the same price as DJM's so just figured staying with the same brand. I didn't find the spindles or rear kit in the "white box", Did I miss them ?

Thanks SB for your past experience, I will take it into consideration. Did you buy your's from Summit ?

I have spent thousands with Summit without issues, I would hope as big as they are THEY would take care of any issues then take it up with their supplier ?

Both of the spindles that I had problems with were on the trucks when I bought them. I bought my BellTech spindles that I replaced the DJM's with through ebay used. I did buy my Air Ride helper springs through Summit and was happy with that purchase.
