Angry Really Stupid!!

I did something really stupid last night. I thought I was drilling through the carbon that was in my intake manifold and in all actuallity I wass drilling through the block of the intake manifold.

Right under that plate that is on the bottom of the manifold; so now I have a hole there and I'm going to have to go out an get a new intake manifold.

Any suggestion on what or where I should get one?

Thanks for the help,
Pat

? If the hole goes into the lifter valley, just tap some threads into it and plug it. You don't need a new intake!

what kind of manifold are you looking for stock 4 barrel or after-market? I have the stock intake off of my 72 that I would be willing to part with. I recently bead blasted it and painted to chevy orange.

I agree with the tap it and plug it, unless you want to upgrade. Use loktite.

Don't buy a new intake for that, just patch it. Unless you need us to tell you to tell your spouse you need a new Edelbrock or Holley intake with a matching carb of course.

Way too much money and time..But it's a hobby.

I'm not sure I can patch it, but I'll try.
