Fuel tank relocation...
Today I did some work on my truck trying to get it in a drivable state. First I cleaned most of the junk out of the cab and bed, then installed the carb that i rebuilt. Then I took a look at the gas tank. I knew that the tank was going to be bad, but I think its past the point of no return... the fuel pick up was just about rusted off and the inside doesn't look any better. So now I'm in the market for a tank to mount out back.
After looking all over the site there are many different tanks people are using. I'd like to stay away from the blazer tank for clearance reasons planning on 4.5-6 drop. I'm also planning on swapping in an LSX motor in the future 6-18 months so what tank will adapt well to a fuel injection system? I've read some on the 97ish camaro/firebird tank, anyone have more information? Thanks |

I did trim the bottom of the bed cross rail in order to fit my filler neck in which I ran up thru the stake pocket. Just depends on which type of filler you install.

Re: Fuel tank relocation...
Thanks guys, I ended up ordering the faithful blazer tank(poly). After looking at all the pictures i decided it wasn't that low and its one of the cheapest options. As for the fuel injection I'll just run an external pump.
