What did you do on your truck today?
I'm a thief...I admit it.
I stole the title from a post on the 60-66 section from Sams60gmc. He started a thread over there that's grown legs. As I was reading through it, I thought that we needed something similar--I know that we all do something every day, or every week, or every month. Sometimes it's a battle, sometimes a joy, but most of the time we feel like we're operating solo, and that's just not the case. As evidenced by the great posts over there, we all do something to our trucks, even if it's just backing it out of the garage to get to the holiday boxes. So, here goes... I went through the lmc and brothers catalogues--again--to play the wish list game. My son, meanwhile, conspired with a friend to finally remove the 465 tranny out of the donor truck. After three hours, he came in, freezing, to announce that the tranny was out and ready for some poor schmuck to load up for a trip to the tranny shop. It was just he and I, so I assume I'm the schmuck... DB

Re: What did you do on your truck today?
Over the last month, thanks to having 3 wks vacation, I finished my passenger side completely, front to back. Last thursday, I took the Jimmy out of the garage, turned it around, and put it back in the garage to start on the driver side. The usual, rockers (inside and out), partial floor, lower A pillar etc., replace door, replace front fender and redo the quarter panel. That should take me another year or two LOL. Yesterday, my son and I started removing all the driver side stuff, fender, door etc. Now with the holidays upon us, probably won't have significant time before the new year to do anything else.

Re: What did you do on your truck today?
Headed to the barn to work on the doors.
We have two blazers--one's the driver, one's the donor. The doors on the donor were in better shape than the doors on the driver, so I've got the donor doors on saw horses in the barn. I took everything off them and am painting them. Putting a third coat on today and will wetsand tomorrow...the perks of having no work...

Re: What did you do on your truck today?
Are you rolling the the entire truck, or pieces at a time? Color? Thinning it?
We're Rustoleum Sunrise Red. I've done the hood and both front fenders so far, doors are in progress.
