Anybody seen this emblem before???
Guys and gurus,
When I bought our 67/68 gmc fleetside, I knew it had been put together with available parts. Front end from a 67, and the rear from a 68 by my best guess. I have fender emblems seen in the pic and cannot seem to find them on anyone else's trucks. Can't find them in any catalogs and I've looked for about a year. Websites, too! Anyone seen this emblem before?

Re: Anybody seen this emblem before???
I had a couple of those I pulled off a GMC. One of em broke when I took it off. I gave the other one to a board member that collects them. Ive seen a fair number of em on board members trucks.

Re: Anybody seen this emblem before???
Yup...them be '67-'68 GMC badges. Came on the.......wait for it........."Custom" trimmed models. IIRC this was the equivalent to the Chevy "CST" package.

Re: Anybody seen this emblem before???
isn't that the same "design" for the 67 (non CST) Custom Camper badge?

Re: Anybody seen this emblem before???
FYI, both located on pass and driver side fenders close to the doors bout half way down the panel. I want to have them rechromed b/c I can't find replacement ones anywhere. To the reply about breaking one off, they attach from the back of the fender with a 3/8 nut against two threaded studs. Have to remove the fender or at least unbolt the bottom cab mounting bolt for the fender to pull away far enough to get to the nuts.
Keep the info coming. I'm interested in the history. By the way, it is a CST pkg model based on the build sticker in the glove box.

Re: Anybody seen this emblem before???
sorry, I was mistaken. that emblem design only says "Custom".
I thought the "Custom Camper" had that design too, but Nooooooo. me sorry! my thought came from the beautiful yellow truck halfway down this page: http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...+camper+emblem I have never seen that emblem repopped. probably will have to rechrome and restored yours. since you have originals, I'd rechrome them because they are "probably" heavier and a better candidate for rechroming.

Re: Anybody seen this emblem before???
These are `67-only to-of-the-line GMC fender badges. They are not reproduced. The "Custom" script is the same script as used in the 66-68 Custom Camper fender badges ans the Custom (GMC)/Custom Camper (Chevy & GMC) door scripts. The fenders these came mounted on are unique to all the other fenders. Not only are they the `67-only fenders, but the badge holes are not the same as any other due to the verticle design of the badge.
