Re: raw gas or bad fumes all of a sudden

I have some questions.

Where are you when you smell the fumes, inside the truck while driving or standing outside the cab?

Is it exhaust or gas smell? Need to know the difference because a gas smell with exhaust could be running rich. If it's mainly gas fumes it could be your gas tank leaking or external fuel leak. Check for smoke in the exhaust.

Do you have a/c or driving with windows closed? Could be sucking in fumes from under the doors, firewall, etc. Lots of leaks on these trucks.

pull plugs to check for richness//crawl under truck to check exhaust connections and condition of fuel lines especially to rubber flex line under the cab//check the bottom of the gastank for leaking gas

If it is shortly after you start the truck I would say the choke is sticking. Take the air cleaner off and spray inside and outside the carb with choke cleaner. Be sure and read the instructions.
