Re: 250 ci integral/non-integral head

They came out with the intregal intake manifold in 1975. On 250 engines. It seems all the trucks used it but a lot of the cars like Camero's & Malibu's still used the old style.

Re: 250 ci integral/non-integral head

Thanks. I'm looking to put power steering on my 67 C20 & I'm researching what I need. I guess the pump brackets are different on the integrated vs the non-integrated.

Re: 250 ci integral/non-integral head

IIRC someone on here modified a set of Integeral head brackets to work on a non-integeral head engine.I wish I could remember who but maybe they will chime in.I think it was fairly simple to do but don't recall what was involved.
Just for info the brackets are the same for all vehicles. They are either integeral or non but may be in a Nova,Camaro, or other Chevy with the 6 and proper head.

Re: 250 ci integral/non-integral head

Look for posts by NC67chevy.He has been researching this also and has had some good responses to his questions. Some of the info he got may help.
Also be advised that the 67 probably doesn't have the dimple in the frame for the PS box.You will need to either space the box away from the frame or heat and hammer a clearance dimple in order to mount a PS box.If you can find a 68 up truck to look at you will see the difference.
