4" lift, will 36's fit?
I have a sort of dumb question? Have any of you had a 67-72 3/4 ton 4x4 with a 4" lift that 36's fit on without any body cutting? I only have 6" front springs and 36" tires but do not want this truck to be too tall to tow my gooseneck trailer when needed. If I can't find smaller tires I might be stuck with the 36's and 6" lift because I want to get it road worthy either way. I can always go smaller later.

The big question is how wide are they. Wider the wheels/tires the more chance they are gonna rub. Mine isn't a good truck to compare with being a mutt.

Special-K would have the info on this question... He has had a few trucks with that setup... I think you will need 6" to be safe.

They won`t fit.I don`t think another 2" of lift will kill the towing ability compared to a 4" lit.I ran 14.50/37s on 10" wheels and definately had to cut.I even had to cut the front of the rear wheel openings.12.50/35s with 4" lift is marginal w/o cutting.It will rub when tweaking the frame much at all,like pulling up into a driveway.Maybe with 8" wheels that combo would work better.I rubbed the fronts with 12.50/35s/6" lift/10" wheels with EZ-Ride springs,pulling into driveways.I`ll be using 12.50/37s with 6" lift and i`m figuring it will rub when not careful and pretty much figure I`ll be installing 0-rates.I real want to use my 10" wheels but know I really should just go with the 8s and save the 10s for a set of 35s.

My wheels are 16.5x9.75. And the problem is, I'm worried about my gooseneck trailer, not a bumper pull trailer. I guess for now it'll just have to be a bumper pull hauler. Because I highly doubt the GN will fit over the bed sides while turning. Oh well, I guess I better get my 95 ford done as well.

I see what you`re saying.My wheels are 18.5s,too.goose necks are the best,but funky with a lifted truck,unless you lift the trailer.

Yeah, I doubt I will do that. I'll just have to use the ford as a back up for the GN instead of this truck. Oh well.
