Headlight upgrade suggestions

I did the upgrade to relays yesterday. I am now ready to start looking at some upgrades to the lights themselves. I would seldom drive my truck in the dark or in rain. But if I do.....I want to be able to light it up!!

Re: Headlight upgrade suggestions

More that once I`ve had prople flash their high beams at me and I`m only running standard halogen single bulbs with relays, at first I thought that maybe they were out of adjustment so that was ruled out as well, I guess their just brite...

I did the reley thing and installed projection headlights. I don't get flashed but my lights are brighter than my 2000 tahoe.

Re: Headlight upgrade suggestions

I was looking for lights for mine Friday, think I am going with the H4's from here-

http://www.danielsternlighting.com/p.../products.html

I have had H4 in my Samaria for 15+ years, they are worth the $.

I have used info from that web page for years, so time for me to buy something!

I also did the relay install. I have not got to drive my truck yet. But I swear just adding the relays have made mine brighter. After I start driving it, i might concider a bulb upgrade.

Jason,
Where did you get yours. I replaced mine with regular halogens and they are definitely brighter. I rode in a Lexus tonight and the bright white lights sure are nice!

Hey Bob, I'm pretty sure Jason said he got his lights from LMC.

So did you build your own relay setup or buy a prefab kit? If so which kit.
I heard the relay kit from LMC had short wire length. Any pic on where you installed it?
Sounds like you are making great progress in a timely manner.

Re: Headlight upgrade suggestions

Thanks Jason,

Under that panel looks great on Chiefs. I wanted mine to stay up where I can see it. It makes it a bit more cluttered, but I always worry about that plug coming loose at the firewall and losing power. It annoys me, like the plug on my darn turn signal in the front. It comes out after I shut the hood. You'd think they make those with a twist lock. I'm going to try putting a screw in it today!

I did hide my circuit breaker under the radiator cover though.

Your truck looks better every time I see it. Makes me want to finish mine!
