does anyon eknow how tight the starter on a 87 s10 blazer so but tightened down at??? like how many foot lbs ?

ive never used a torque wrench and never had a problem... just make it nice and tight to it wont come loose......

noo its not putting it back on i'm trying to get it off~! but its really really tight!!! i didnt think that it would be that tight.

ahh.. take a break over bar and get after it.. the person to change it last time probably used an air ratchet ...

no they didnt cuz i was there helping them do it. just a socket wrench thats it.. no locktite or anything just the socket....

YEPPERS,,

Your buddy really reeked down ot it.. Find the longest extension bar you can get your hands on, or put a Pipe over what you have now.. Just be sure that what tools you are using now are of good quality and the pipe is Thick walled. And the socket is fully seated on the bolt head. Boy does it hurt when you are pushing with eveything you got and something breaks..

Now we know you're taking the starter off, What was the problem??

I hate when things are that tight....I'm a pretty strong guy and if it's that tight or not gonna break loose i end up dislocating my middle or ring finger on my right hand....it REALLY sucks
