'67 Chevy Goodies

-
I finally got time to clean out the Green '67 yesterday and this is what I found…. I think the block of wood was probably used with the jack. The flares that burn are in really bad shape and will be destroyed. The round Red reflector is from the dealership that originally sold the truck, Lentz Chevrolet in Indianola, Iowa. The original invoice is interesting as is the original order sheet. These tell me that I am the third owner of the truck. I also have the original owner's manual and the protecto plate. The jack instruction sheet is located in the glovebox. I will try to get a better picture of it tomorrow. If you notice, the jack is mounted the opposite direction of the later trucks and the jack handle and lug wrench are located under the seat and are held in place with a long spring.

If you look on the invoice you can see that he traded in a 1954 Ford pickup..

That`s a time capsule collection there. The reflector is a super neat piece for sure.Does the invoice show the deposit and such?I got a kick out of the invoice for my`71 shortbed K/10.The guy left a $20 deposit. Can you imagine that these days?"What`s this for?" He came back a day later with the rest of the cash and drove off, paid in full, with no insurance. My,how times have changed.

That's pretty cool finding original documentation like that. The only thing I found under my seat was a bullett, an old pull tab from a soda can and 15 cents.

Thanks Eric. I do have some parts ordered for it but I probably won't do much to it until spring.

Re: '67 Chevy Goodies

The only thing I found inside my truck was about 30 pounds of seat foam and seat material stuffed into all of the heating ducts from the pack rats that owned my stepper before I got her!

Re: '67 Chevy Goodies

Leon, there's some amazing items you found in that 'ol truck, reminded me a lot of going through my '69 when we got it.

Looking back at how deals were struck then vs. now is pretty amazing.

Hey,35 cents is better than a third on it`s way to another buck! He could take that and get three candy bars with a nickle change.Or,better yet,he could buy a gallon of gas!
