Question Window & door issues

I have a few issues on my 72 that should get sorted out. First, both windows are fairly hard to roll down... Is it just the felts? They don't rattle very much... Is there something that needs to be lubricated in the door?

Also, my drivers door no longer locks with the key... It will unlock, but does not rotate clockwise. What do I have to do to fix this?

Re: Window & door issues

on the locking part, did it used to lock? (Do you have the right key to the lock is what I mean)

take your door pannel off, I greased the tracks its and X that moves along a track, grease the track and oil the middle of the X

I hope that made sense. Any ? just ask.

Re: Window & door issues

Silicone spray the crap out of the felt window channels also. After replacing mine the windows were hard to roll up, silicone spray helped.

Re: Window & door issues

On your door locks, it may be two things. I had that same problem and found out it was a worn key. Got a different key and it worked fine. The other is you might try spraying a little graphite powder in your locks to free them up. Just my $.02.
