72 Jimmy gear ratio

Are 4.10 gears common or uncommon in 4WD blazers and Jimmys?

I thought my Jimmy was sceaming on the highway.

Somewhat common, but optional-only.Tell us more like tire size how fast you were going,and/or what rpm if you have a tach.

Re: 72 Jimmy gear ratio

I am running 31 inch tires and do have a Tach dash. Going about 65 (most likely faster because of the bigger tires) and I swear it was reading about 32-3300 RPM. I know our Tachs are not the most acurate but I always assumed I had 3.73s. I did the spin the driveshaft just over 4 turns for 1 tire revolution so I assume 4.10s. I did the front axle also with the same results.

I need the info for a PCM tune for a future project (soon).
