Re: 6 cylinder help
If you don't have any luck finding anything, you may be able to fabricate your own.
For the one that connects the accelerator lever to the pivot on the intake, you could find some solid rod at your local hardware store. (tru-value, Lowes) Cut to the proper length and thread the ends to accept an internally threaded trunion to connect to the intake lever and accelerator lever. Then lock the trunnions down with a jam nut on each side. This is how my 63 is set up from the factory. For the one between the intake lever and carb, find some more solid rod of the proper size and fab 90 degree bends on either end. Then drill a small hole in each end for a small cotter pin. I'd also use a washer to back up the cotter pin and prevent it from catching on anything. |

Re: 6 cylinder help
Here's a picture of the trunion (swivel)
http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb.dll?parta~partsort Here's the bushings http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb....Z5Z5Z50000050Q The top picture in this diagram shows the trunion (swivel) bushings and rod I was talking about earlier. This is for a V8 but a 6 would be the same principal http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb....50e~Z5Z5Z5PD26 |
