lift kit question
I want to lift my blazer 4"-6" and put 33/12.5/15 tires on it so what brand lift kit would you recommend? And would the 4" or the 6" be better?

Re: lift kit question
I like Skyjacker. It was great on a previous truck I had & plan on doing the same with this Blazer, Yes it's a little more expensive than others but it has a kit with everything needed (shocks, bolts, brake lines & such) and word is, it's a little more comfy ride than some others like Rough Country (the name implies the ride quality).
4" will be plenty with 33" tires. As a matter of fact you can get away with 33s & no lift. Mine has 33x12.5x15s with no lift & never seems to have a problem. But others have implied that when steering is turned all the way & going down in a ditch or something similar at a funky angle they may rub a little with no lift.

Re: lift kit question
4" of lift with 33s is common practice and works well. I think one area that people overlook in this discussion is the rim backspacing. If a 12.5" wide tire is sticking out considerably more than stock backspacing then it is going to increase the diagonal distance from the center of the hub to the outer edge of the tread. Many times this is the difference between one guy rubbing a tire on a fender while turning and someone else not rubbing. Just something to keep in mind when making these changes.
As far as what spings to buy, it is usually a price issue. In general, the more you spend the higher quality of steel you are getting which = ride quality. For what it's worth I have 6 inch Tuff Country springs on the rear. They were fairly cheap, but they ride pretty good.
