250 PS Install Pics

Over the long weekend I decided to install a PS setup for my 69SWBF. I had two pumps I had to integrate due to the shaft design being different and the return hose barb orientation. One pump had the wrong pulley offset (press fit with allen shape) but correct tank and the other had the right pulley but wrong tank (nut on shaft press in style). Napa had the PS gasket/seal kit so I decided to rebuild when I took apart. All in all its great having help from PS when your turning 31's. I also did an HEI but I'm still working on the details.

I also included pic of my last resto. Sorry guys but its not a Chevy

Re: 250 PS Install Pics

Thanks 72BlckButy. Actually, it was your truck that helped me decide the theme for mine. I just bought it from ebay and the plans are to drop it with an ECE 4/6 kit with 6lug discs, change tires, dress up the six with clifford products and install an upper trim kit. Everything else will be replaced to original when I get around to painting it soemtime mid next year. It has the three on the tree which humms a little on third. May end up replacing with a 200r4 if I can get the hum to go away (lack of oil, use how knows).

Re: 250 PS Install Pics

That sounds like one heck of a good plan for the '69 if I do say so myself...

I've been considering the 200R4 as well. Just looking for a few extra gears in the ol girl. Be sure to start a build thread as this sounds like a great build.

Where did the truck come from? I remember seeing one on Ebay like this, but can't recall where it was at. Is it original paint? Any rust?

Let me know if you have any questions about the drop/brake install. And call me Nate

Re: 250 PS Install Pics

Thanks Nate. The truck came for Maryland. The bed is in good to great condition with no rust. The cab rockers show a few areas with rot smaller then a pencil eraser not worth replacing just welding. The doors and hood look solid with some rust but no rot. The top cab gutter has lost about 40% of its caulking/sealent but not root. Overall the truck is awesome. I had a 1969 stepside that was rear ended about a year ago so I've being looking since. Here its was in its glory.

Re: 250 PS Install Pics

That was a clean stepper, I'm only sorry to hear it ended up being wrecked. Were you able to keep the truck, or did the insurance company take it? I bet it still had some useably parts.

Are you planning on keep the 250 in the '69 SWB?
