Re: Daytona turkey rod run PICs

Nice .
I am liking the red 3/4 ton longbed and the silver 84 with code 29 blue in the middle is right .
Anyone know what would make that one more likely an 84 than an 83?

83 and 84 had the same grille treatment . The paint is the key . In 83 , the twotone was broken at the roof and below the beltline molding . 84 had one color all over and the contrasting color from the beltline molding up to the tape stripe like the one here . It looks blue because of the light blue pinstriping . B;ack centered trucks usually got a red or actually orangish pinstripe to seperate the contrasting colors . It loos right with those wheels and that ride height .

Thanks for sharing. Looks like a good time to be had by all.
But 1 question. Did anyone else see the writing on the red Suburban? $45,000 spent?!?! Where? Sorry, just don't see it.

Re: Daytona turkey rod run PICs

They spent $45,000 for that and still has a 10 bolt, paint that doesn't look good in the picture, and a bedliner overkill grill. I am a firm believer of "to each their own" but I do not believe that they could possibly have $45,000 wrapped up in that build.

Re: Daytona turkey rod run PICs

Just so you guys don't think I am being Mr. Grumpy Pants. Let me point out the ones that I like. The first picture in both post #2 & #5. Those are both OUTSTANDING for different reasons. I actually really like the purple on the one. And, how can you not love the original look of the other?
