68 C10 Power Steering Conversion
I wanted to add power steering to my 68 c10. I was wondering if anyone has done this, and what year of a truck I could rob parts off of. Also, is it almost a bolt on conversion, or are there any problems I will run into? Thanks in advance for your tips.

Re: 68 C10 Power Steering Conversion
Any chevy/gmc 68 or newer, including the square body trucks up to 87/91. You may have to change the pitman arm and/or idler arm. Get the box, pump, and lines from the donor.
Some early 68's don't have the correct shape to the frame where the box mounts, but if you search the FAQ section you should find what to look for. Thanks to good old GM, it's pretty much a bolt on!

Re: 68 C10 Power Steering Conversion
Thanks for the insight Clay68c10, I'm assuming you have done this to yours? Do you know where I can get a set of brackets to mount it on a small block chevy? I've looked, but can't seem to find anything promising.
