Yes another soft top thread
Actually this worked out pretty well. I had an old Kayline soft top from a previous Blazer, but no hardware. I contacted the guys in Colorado that are making soft tops for our Blazers and they were willing to sell me just the hardware kit. I knew it would take some adjustments but I was willing to make it work. As you can see there is still some work to be done. But I'm pretty happy with how it's going so far. Whata ya guys think?

Pretty cool that they were willing to do that for you - speaks well of the company.

Re: Yes another soft top thread
Looks neat, but I'm not willing to drill a ton of holes in our Blazer for a million snaps. Wish it would have been designed to clamp on so you don't have to drill holes in rust free Arizona sheetmetal.
It also doesn't appear the side windows are removable, that would have been a nice feature that's easy to make, would be nice to keep the top portion on to keep the sun off the family in the back seat I do however like how they are folding the back half down. Looks like it functions just like my wifes Jeep Rubicon soft top. And it does look good on the truck when completely installed, unlike some I have seen. |

Re: Yes another soft top thread
Sorry for not responding as I have been out of town. Thanks to scoyote for giving you the link. And yes they were excellent to deal with and very helpfull. I paid $350.00 for the hardware kit. Probably a little much, but it beats trying to fab the complete set up. I don't know how the Soft Topper attaches, but with the Kayline I only needed to drill holes for snaps in the tailgate. The top rail is a slide in, but the rail still needs to be attached the windsheild frame. I'll have to remove the rail when I want the hard top back on. The side snaps attach to the rail that comes with the kit.

No problem, the instructions are a little vague but I'll send you everything I have.

Re: Yes another soft top thread
Softopper actually makes a piece of hardware that screws to the windshield with 4 screws and that piece holds all of the snaps.
So, you only need to drill 4 holes instead of a couple dozen. No matter what....some holes need to be drilled to hold the front down. So far that has been the best option available that I have found. Lots of ideas out there....but no practical solutions actually manufactured except this one. That I'm aware of anyway.
