Some of my lights dont work. The speedo light does and one of the fuel lights does but the rest dont including my left turn light. I have pulled all the bulbs and checked them.. Whats my next step? Replace the wire board on the back of the gauges? I started to pull the dash panel off yesterday but decided to wait since the weather dropped and my only other vehicle is my Harley.

If the bulbs were good when you checked them. You could try cleaning the contacts on the holders. I used some fine emery cloth to insure good contact. If you can see the circuit and it has some built up crud you might try a pencil eraser to brighten it up. I would try that before I replaced the circuit board.

if you're going to b pulling them out to clean i'd just change out the bulbs too i've found new brighter than 40yo ones

I might do that. At 4 bucks for two bulbs changing them all will get kinda expensive.

Wow thats pretty high i think mine was like 5$ for a box of 10 or 12 not sure pm me if you need some i got some extras ill give you

I got them at Advanced Auto. I think I will do some shopping around to find a better price then.

When you have the sockets out check them with the bulbs in them with an ohm meter. I have run into bad sockets that don't work even with new bulbs.

Im toying with the idea of taking it apart and painting the gauges and needles and installing some leds.

I just did it to mine and am very happy the way it turned out. Also, i now that someone mentioned about taking very fine sandpaper and sanding the traces on circuit paper. I had to do that. I went out and bought 6 new bulbs and it turned out that i only had 2 bulbs that were blown. The sockets were the problem. What I did to fix that was sand them as well. There are 2 tabs that actually make the contact with the circuit paper, I sanded those. I also sanded the inside where the actual bulb makes contact with the socket tabs. Good luck. Hope this helps.
