Stepside swap to fleetside
If I purchased a 1968 stepside, can I unbolt the stepside bed and put any year 67-72 fleetside shortbed on there with no modifications?
Thanks for the help! Last edited by Vandals909; 12-04-2009 at 01:26 PM. |

Re: Stepside swap to fleetside
I am pretty sure that you can. The frames are the same. I am in the 951, howdy neighbor!

Re: Stepside swap to fleetside
Thanks for the replies guys. So is it 100% sure it would work with no mods?

Re: Stepside swap to fleetside
It is my understanding that yes, with no mods you can unbolt a stepside bed and bolt on a fleetside bed.

I went from fleet to step and had no problems whatsoever.

Re: Stepside swap to fleetside
Should work. Only difference that I can think of is rear bumper and rear tail light harness.

Re: Stepside swap to fleetside
...and... if you're swapping between "sport" bumpers, you can use the same brackets
