How to install an over head light out of a newer Chevy truck?
I am wanting to install an over head consol light from (I think) a 1995 or later Chevy Truck onto my '86 Chevy truck headliner. Do you have to cut out the first skin of metal to install. I know some of you have done this in the past. It would be best to tell how this is done on here or you could email me at: jandl303@att.net Thanks,
John

Re: How to install an over head light out of a newer Chevy truck?
Im also curious to know this as I have one out of a 2005 that I wanna put in my 87. I know I will have to notch the sides of the overhead console piece to allow it to sit flush with the headliner like in the later models.

Re: How to install an over head light out of a newer Chevy truck?
I am not doing it myself but having it done at a body shop. I just had a total knee replacement and will be getting the other done when my right knee is better. Kinda wish I had them both done at the same time now. Things start falling apart as you get older. So I will not be doing too much for some time now. Guess I will be kinda sitting in front of the tv eating also. But will be doing excersizes to get my knee in shape.
