Brakes?

I have a 1972 GMC P/U. I just changed the rear drum brakes on it and bled the lines because It was still having trouble building up pressure to stop. I noticed under my dash in the cab the rod that goes into my brake fluid reservoir has a bell shaped rubber thing around it. It has brake fluid leaking from it. My question... Is this a problem that should be fixed to help build up pressure when applying my brakes and could this be putting air in my brake lines?? Thanks

Yes the boot will not stop the leak it just stops dirt and dust. Its the MC leaking. Not real expensive to fix less than $20.00 for a stock MC most places
