Interior lights

I'm working on my interior lighting and I cannot find what I'm looking for.

I'm wanting to put some courtesy lights behind the front seats, in the side panels but I cannot seem to find much of a selection.

I really want a small rectangular shape with an on-off switch .....but I can't find that.

I want courtesy lights in the back......anyone done that already?

Re: Interior lights

Have you checked JC Whittney or an RV supply company.

Re: Interior lights

How about a couple of 67-72 Chevy/GMC truck dome light assemblies? Easy to install and a perfect match. You could wire them to the existing dome light circuit.

I'm also trying to remember which dome lights had the switch built in with a rocker style lens. Volkswagen or Volvo or something like that. You could probably score a couple good ones at the "recycle" yard.

Re: Interior lights

I went to Lowes & found a LED bulb toolbox light. I put one above the review mirror & one in the back It is battery operated & has lasted 2 yrs with no problems. Actually gives off quiet a bit of light too. I zip-tied mine to the roll cage, but I think it came with some velcro or trim tape if you wanted to go that route for attaching it. They were around $15 each. I've seen these other round ones from Northern Tools that are about $10 ea. and they look to lay a little flatter.

Re: Interior lights

i know you said rectangle but this looked good and it kinda fit the look of the truck when i did it. I wired them into the stock lamp location so they work when the doors open and when i turn them on
