If you have decent paint, then put some tape on the edges of the cowl and the hood, so that you don't scratch the finish. I use the green 3-M tape and it is heavy enough to keep the paint protected.

Will do.. thanks....

I want to paint the truck all together, because i dont want to scratch it assembling it.. But i think im going to paint the hood and the cowl off the truck. The bed is done currently. I put the doors on, trying NOT to scratch anything. YA right. I scratched everything. ahaha

Re: Can you mount and remove the cowl with the hood on?

It is best to paint the truck and all of it's parts at the same time, Just to get the paint color to match. The paint mixes work best when all done at the same time. however, if you want good coverage, it is good to have the parts seperate, for items like the hood, cowl and such.
