Re: autio

well i dont know what kind year of truck you have but i have done a few square bodys by putting 6x9s in the cab corners behind the rear seat i just build wooden peices to fit in the corners and mount the speakers and the cab acts as a speaker box and they ended up sounding really good or buy some kick panel speaker mounts off ebay either way is alot nicer then having to cut holes in your door

Re: autio

ihey 409,thanks for the advise . havent received the speakers yet, will have to wait and see what i end up doing. my truck is a 64 c10 l/bed and ive already got kick panel speakers in the truck. do you know how big the front speakers that go under the dash are?i think a set for there would really make that truck rock! thanks for the info .i forgot to say that the tank is already in the bed, so should have lots of room. thanks again.

Re: autio

the ones that go in the dash on my 86 are 3.5 inch speakers, i think you can pull off a pair of 4 inch tho, but not for sure

Re: autio

Sorry for the late response, my life has been kinda screwed up these last 2 weeks...

The factory Bose speakers from a GM car will not work without the factory crossover network which is located in a factory amp. It's going to be VERY hard to make these speakers work and ultimately, not worth the effort as there are tons of other choices that sound just as good for only a couple bucks.

My suggestion is to just go down to Best Buy or w/e and get a set of 3.5" coaxials and a 4x10 for the dash.
