Good Insurance Company?

Any leads on a good insurance company? I live in Texas and mine will only do liability. We like having full coverage.

Just heard a report on the news that 25% of Texans are driving uninsured.

Ynotnow817-
I am a Missouri Farm Bureau Insurance Agent here near St. Louis, Missouri. We, like all Farm Bureaus, carry Hagerty Collector Car Insurance. This can cover anything from an old beater to a show truck. Usually you havea $0 deductible, great liability coverage, and its all on stated value for your truck(which means no appraisal) All of this is covered for usually just a few hundred dollars per YEAR. Hagerty is a great nation wide company with an awesome claims service. While I am almost positive I cannot write a policy for you, I would be happy to find a Farm Bureau Agent in a local city near you to help you out with this. Just let me know what city you are in!

Re: Good Insurance Company?

I have Hagerty on my Chevelle but then there are the usual restrictions about not being a daily driver, limited to show, parades and occasional use, etc.
Check it out- maybe they have different policies for different applications--good luck

I have Hagerty on the "Leisure Vehicles" and State Farm for the daily drivers.

Whoever you end up going with, if you have invested a lot of money in the vehicle, make sure you get a stated value policy. Otherwise if you total the vehicle they look it up in their book and give you $1,500 for your "old truck" instead of $15,000 for your "restored classic".

Re: Good Insurance Company?

Hagerty has exceptions (endorsements) that allow one to use their vehicle for a daily driver. This may put a cap on the stated value one can insure the vehicle at though. I am not certain on that. If that doesn't work then American Collectors Insurance is very good as well. Often though, American Collectors does not give you a high enough liability limit so it is good to have an additional liability policy with your own company (State Farm, American Family, Farm Bureau, etc). Therefore American Collectors would end up being a little more expensive. Just me HO.
