tire paint?
anybody ever tried to paint the letters white on a set of tires? reason I'm asking is: I have a chance to get a set of radial T/As cheap but the letters were colored black with a sharpie. any ideas?

The white letters are actually molded white rubber. Take some 220 grit paper, and sand off the marker

you can purchase tire pens at any big performance or motorcycle shop. Im sure both Summit and Jegs sell them

You gotta ask yourself that question in order to get the answer.
It should be fairly easy. Im not a big fan of white lettering though, so I wouldn't bother. I'd run them as is.

tube cleaner, carb cleaner, brake cleaner, mineral spirits, paint thinner, Westley's bleach white, or sand paper will take it off...
would not worry with the tire paint.
