damn last owner removed the glovebox sticker when he painted the trucks exterior and interior (he did the ****tiest job ever mind you..)
i was wondering if its possible to decode what options the truck originally came with from any other tags on the vehicle? or was it just that sticker in the glovebox. ive already found out from my vin that the truck was actually a 6cyl to begin with and id like to find out what else has been changed.

Well, that is kinda frustrating, but at least you know what you have now.
Not too many of "our" trucks are still the same way they came from the factory. Seems to me a newer vehicle can recreate the original configuration from the VIN. I went to get some paint for the silver on the bottom half of my 95 blazer and they told me it didn't come with silver on the bottom! The VIN said it was all blue. The only chance you have on recovering the original option list, is if you remove the seat, and search for a build sheet. Look in the springs on the bottom, and on the seat back. Then, if you got nothing, pull the carpet out. Every once in a while you'll get one in there. If you find nothing there, your on your own and you can make up what options you want it to have.

looks like im SOL.
it doesnt have the orig seats or carpet so im sure that build sheet hit the trash along with the glove box sticker a long time ago...
