Re: pic of my engine

Wait, 235 heads on a 358? Your power will be way high in the RPM's with little power down low. The 358 will take forever to fill those heads.. Looks more like a strip engine... not that it cant be streetable but you wont have power down low.

Re: pic of my engine

That motor will probably suck for a street motor. You probably wont see any torque until 4k rpms. 195cc heads are as about as big as you would want on that motor. What's the compression? What are your cam specs and what torque converter are you running?

Re: pic of my engine

I have a sneeking suspicion 'street' is going to be the 'novelity cruise' and this thing has a LOT more go-fast goodies than GWEE is letting on. I mean... 1050 dominator, 235 runners,, supervictor,, would this build possibly be something akin to the 'uratchko' championship motor from 06???

4.185" bore, 3.25" stroke 9500rpm animal of a 358????? Although that motor had 17° AllPro's and Chris would never let the cat out of the bag,, I know what it did and it was over 900HP on Bischoff's Superflow Dyno.

Re: pic of my engine

I'm pretty sure he knows its not going to make torque down low. thats not a backyard built engine with a bunch of junk thrown together

I was thinking the same thing. It's either stock-ish rebuild short block with all the expensive go fast parts on the outside for the image (seen it before), or it's got one hell of a rotating assembly to match the rest of the parts. They don't even run a carb that big in NASCAR for the same size engine...

Re: pic of my engine

I don't think it will be that bad. with proper gearing and torque converter, it should be an animal.

Nice engine.

Yes without the proper converter and gears it would suck on the street.

Im at work and wont be home till the 1st of the year. Once i get home i will have all other specs on the engine like cam, timing ect ect. I can tell you the compression is 11.5:1 and it will use a mixture of pump gas and race fuel. The engine was dynoed at close to 500hp and yes with more cubic inch it would of made more. We understood this and that why ill going to make two engines with this combo.

I have plans to use a set of 200cc cast heads, dualplane intake and a 750cfm carb for the engine later. Then up the cubic inch with another engine to436 cubic inch and use the 235cc head, Super Vic intake and the 1050cfm carb to put in a s10.
