cab top same on 67-72?

I am looking for a cab top to chop off as a donr and put on my 72. Mine has rust around entire drip rail. My body man said he could cut the top off one and replace my top with that. I could go for a whole cab, but the rest of mine is perfect. Floor pan, roller, cab corners etc. Would any 67-72 top fit my truck? I would be cutting it from about the top of the front window all the way around. May even go down 5-6 inches and do the cuts.

Yeah I have seen the outer roofs and would go that way, but I have rust through around drip rail and even makes it leak inside a bit. Some bubbles on inside, but nothing too bad. I want to cut the top to be sure I can get to and traet all the rust even down in the cab arms.

Yes. You can use a roof from a 67-72. They are all gonna be the same with the exception of the small window 67 cab.

check out my "flip that truck" build in my sig.. we did the same thing that you are talking about. some might have cargo lights above the back window and others might have raised pads for clearance lights but ours fit ok... have fun getting the front windshield back in...

they are the same, but there are some variations allowed during assembly so make sure you fit the doors before fully welding back together
