Recently saw a sale ad for a 72 Burb (Maroon/Burgundy I think) mounted on later Dodge/Cummins running gear - but did not mark it and cannot relocate. Did anyone see this and can you give me a cite? Thanks for any help. CCCC

Good question !!! The only other "mutt" I've ever had was in the 1950s - a 51 Studebaker coupe pushed by a worked up 53 Olds V8 - and it was anything but a dog - the classic sleeper that blew a lot of guys away, including 283 Chevs of the day. I really don't know if I would own a Burb body on a 4wd Dodge, but my heavy worker out here is a big Dodge with Cummins and 6 speed manual - and that experience has brought a lot of respect for that power/drive train. I love that Suburban style, and already have a number of great running Chevs/GMs, so thought it would be good to explore.

It`s not like Dodge made much of anything in that drivetrain,anyway.It`s hardly different from the body swapping from GM to GM,only you don`t end up with a Cummins doing that.

Maroon and tan? If it was from the Phoenix area, I may have the frame and running gear that was under it originally. If I remember correctly, the guy who built it used to be on here back when he was doing the frame swap.
