Toys, Add-ons, Luxuries, and Amenities

I'm interested to see all of the little mobile toys that people have added to their trucks. I'm most interested in interior upgrades or anything that makes the truck more fun and enjoyable to be in.

Just a list is fine, pictures are always a plus, but I want to see what you've added to your truck from a toy standpoint.

Basically anything that a car stereo shop would add to the truck, post it.

I know that "ha ha" is on the serious side, because I have been scheming for a while now trying to come up with a well-integrated cup holder that doesn't look like a piece of plastic I bought from Auto zone.

Re: Toys, Add-ons, Luxuries, and Amenities

I have been thinking about leather and Alcantara when I redo my seat, and possibly some seat heaters. It might not run and handle like my Cadillac, but maybe the inside will be as nice.

Re: Toys, Add-ons, Luxuries, and Amenities

I added a cupholder from a 99-06 chevy truck (the kind on the front of the 40-20-40 seats). Also tapped the cigarette lighter orange wire and wired in a dc outlet for a radar detector. Now I can close the ashtray door without messing with the radar, and if I need to plug a phone charger or something else in I can have both going at once.

Re: Toys, Add-ons, Luxuries, and Amenities

I have a modified flashlight that I carry in my truck. It's one of the ones with the big battery under it. I tossed the battery and added a chord and a lighter plug for power, and I bolted a magnet base to it so I can use it as a cargo light, a spotlight, or a flashlight. I can get pics of it tomorrow if you guys would like.

I have some mood lights under the dash.

Hopefully, over my winter break from school I can add my power supplies from a late 90's S10/Blazer in my dash and add a light to my glovebox. Anybody know where I can tap the power and a switch for the light?

Kaysenmc, how did you tap into the lighter? I need to for my power supplies.

Re: Toys, Add-ons, Luxuries, and Amenities

I have Q Logic door pods and kick panels, Rockford Fosgate FNQ 5.25" components in the kicks and Rockford Fosgate Punch 6.5" components in the doors, putting my Alpine CDA 9887 in the dash and my Rockford Fosgate Punch P450.4 amp for mids/highs power, doing a 4th order bandpass blowthrough in the bed with 2 AudioQue SDC2.5 15's and a Rockford Fosgate Power T1000.1 on each. Got lots of 1/0 wire going in, along with at least 2 big batteries.

I plan on putting a pair of bucket seats in and building a center console (with cupholders!) I've got some LED's to put under the dash for "mood lights", just haven't yet.

The list of "plan-to-do's" grows everyday, so I could talk about this all day long lol.

Re: Toys, Add-ons, Luxuries, and Amenities

Speeking of cup holders, anybody have any experience with the cup holders from LMC or Classic Industries that go in place of the ashtray? Thinking about ordering one but hoping I could get some feedback first.

My cupholders came out of a 2006 nissan frontier that a buddy rolled in his field and totalled it. Expensive cupholders (cost him $20,000 to pay the loan on the truck and they are the only thing left from the truck) but they work great in my truck.
I also put dynomat on every inch of the interior and makes for quiet smooth ride except that whissle from the vent windows.

I used one in my 90 Suburban, worked great! You can get them in colors if you look on eBay.
