all the emblems have been stripped off the truck. i ran the vin but it doesn't tell me what model it is. it was ordered new for one of the iro ore mines here. i'm just curious what it is, other than a truck.

6 lug wheels = 1/2 ton
8 lug wheels = 3/4 ton
8 lug wheels = 1 ton

I believe you are looking at a difference in gross vehicle weight on 3/4 ton and 1 ton.

I asked this question not to long ago and the replies were great;
Chevrolet went:
Custom
Custom Deluxe
Cheyenne
Super Cheyenne

GMC is:
Custom
Super Custom
Sierra
Sierra Grande

I wish the Cars&Parts Chev ID Book I have listed these optoions but it doesn't
Hope this helps
Tim

i'm pretty sure that this one was a base model. i'm not sure excatly what the options were (tied up in tarps) but there are only about 4 on the options sticker. it doesn't even have trim. or holes for trim. with this truck that's not saying much. they're probably filled with expando foam and bondo.

910, 120, and 930 was the way they did it in 67, maybe 68, and for some reason, I want to say Canada trucks too.
On the one ton...they only came in 133 inch wheelbase and bigger, so if it has a bed on it and is not a longhorn...with 8 lugs, then it is a 3/4 ton.
