We fired it up for the first time Sat night!!!! even though it was one carb full of gas at a time!

Good to see it run. Gives you a bunch more motivation to get the rest done. Now for the fun part of getting the truck all put back together and making it drivable again.

You will love the power of the 6.0 engine. I wish I still had my 2500 HD. If I could have found a 3/4-ton Suburban in my price range when I needed a family winter rig I would have that instead of my Tahoe. The 5.3 has decent power but I know it is just a matter of time before the 4L60E goes out.

What trans are you going to run in your truck?

Gonna run a th350 not sure on the converter yet... yeah it should have plenty of power, with all the head work and the cam, it sounded like a monster!!
