69 GMC is finally home!
After months of going back and forth with the previous owner, the GMC is home! 1969, swb fleet, original 396 truck. I'd like to thank my Dad, JimKshortstep4x4, for making this possible. He put in all of the time dealing with the p.o. and getting it picked up while I was away working. Thanks again Dad!

Re: 69 GMC is finally home!
One of these days I will write a book on what it took to get this trucK!
Having a son like Craig does make it worthwhile though. We are hoping to have it driveable by summer so Craig can enjoy it. Jim

Re: 69 GMC is finally home!
Great GMC!! Looks like an awsome project. I have been working on a 70 GMC Longhorn with 396 BB with t-400 in it over the last several weaks. Has someone changed the cab or floor? An original big block truck should have a high tunnel. (bolt in) WES

Re: 69 GMC is finally home!
It's originally a 3-speed truck, which is why it has the low-hump floor

Re: 69 GMC is finally home!
My plans for the truck are to make a daily driver out of it for the warmer months. I already have a fully restored '72 swb frame with a 350 and a 2004r transmission. I'm going to fix the rust and basically transfer the body onto my restored frame. I'll keep all of the parts if I ever decide to restore it back to original, but for now, I'm looking forward to driving it.
