1970 rear end 6 lug Posi
I have a complete rear from my extra truck that I plan to put up for sale soon, so I am just trying to find out what to sell it for and how. Not sure of the ratio, but it came out of a 6 cylinder 3 speed truck so 3.73 or 4.10 i think. Is it more worth it to sell complete(local pick up only) or remove the posi and sell that(shipping), since that seems where the value is? thanks guys

Complete or apart should bring the same $$$ imo. If you did offer to ship, it would just give a broader base to sell to. I would guess $200-250...

I'd start by asking $400 and then work down from there...

Re: 1970 rear end 6 lug Posi
Thanks for the replies. It gives me somewhere to start. I'm not trying to get rich just need money to fund the project. One more question. I did a quick measurement with the tape measure and it appeared that it is the same width as the rear in my 72. If it is the same would that make it any better or worse?

Re: 1970 rear end 6 lug Posi
don't know if the width matters that much, but the lug pattern might scare off a few buyers. Might help if it matches what the owner needs (coil vs leaf) but that can be fixed too. a 4x4 guy would buy it in a heartbeat though...
