Through side fender exhaust photo please
Within the last week or two I saw photos of a (professional) build that had the exhaust exiting in front of the rear wheels and through the frender. I've been searching the threads all morning looking for it again. No luck.
Could anyone steer me to the post again or post photos of their side exhaust exits. I would like to see what is involved to see if it is within my skill level. Thanks for your help and happy holidays. 327-C10 |

Re: Through side fender exhaust photo please
If someone has a personal experience from a certain place that makes that kit or a reason why that way didnt work or the downsides of doing it, theyre going to express their opinion to help that person out.
does anyone have pictures of a 73+ front end on an 67-72? let me guess how many people are going to say dont do it. as of pictures though, sorry i dont have it, but ill voice my opinion, dont do it. it'll ruin the paint. |

Re: Through side fender exhaust photo please
I saw a '70 lwb fleet with them at a car show last summer.
They looked real good. I thought they might rattle if not done right and that the paint might get discolored. I am not sure I would want them for a daily driver, but for a cruiser or show truck they would look great. Danny

68 C10 shortbox 700r4 conversion
I'm getting ready to install a 700r4 in my 68 shortbox and was wondering if anybody has any good tips out there. Doesn't look like a bad conversion but any tips would help greatly. Thanks

Good but not great. I would not want to go through that modification and then see exposed screws. Still looking for any photos. Thanks |

Re: Through side fender exhaust photo please
Not if it's done right. You need to make a heat shield to dissipate the heat. I have done this on my BMW and plan on doing the same on my truck.

Re: Through side fender exhaust photo please
This post kinda died with out any answers. I was looking for just this very set up, but not finding much.
In one of fast and loud builds of a 68 ford truck they had done this very exhaust out let thought the fender. Does any one have info were that one came from? |
