No one makes one piece windows for our trucks. The reason is our glass is curved, unlike 67-72's.

Someday SOMEONE will make one...hopefully it will be before I die!

I agree with you, it would be a cool mod!

Future

I plan on doing this to my truck, at some point, some year, when I do, I will take lots of photos and keep details to share. Should be fun project.

i wonder if it would be possible that a window from another car/truck would have the curve we need, just have to have it trimmed by a glass company to the size we need. HMMMMMM. i sure wish i had the time to hunt this idea down.

the plan

part of my plan is to use some 20ga-22 ga aluminum sheet to cut out and use as a template for a fresh glass piece. I would use poster board, but the aluminum will keep the bend that is necessary. going to weld a small triangular piece in the front corner, pretty much going to be similar to the newer models. Going to be alot of fab and weld, but some day it will look good.
I hope.

Some day it will be like , that look real damn good. real good. i like it!

maybe i'm misunderstanding... but my stepside had a single pane slider when i got ahold of it... the window did not latch, or the latch was broke off, i dunno... but a friend of mine needed a rear slider, so i gave it to him... is this what your talkin' 'bout???

No, we are talking about one piece DOOR glass...eliminating the wing windows.
