Re: exhaust and bags

if you can I would like to see a pick if you can get it over the axle and though the panard bar..t seems like most are dumping out either in front of the axle or out the side before the wheel

Dumping before the axle yeilds the most room, eliminates some back pressure, and looks clean.

Re: exhaust and bags

I raised my bed floor so I didn't have to cut a hole in the bed and to make the extra room for exhaust. It was a lot of extra work, but I can run the pipes out the back without too much hassle.Another thing I've been considering is to get the pipes outside of the frame somewhere before the rear end.The truck is low enough that it wouldn't be too visible, and the panhard would be a non issue.

Re: exhaust and bags

Keep in mind any state safety requirements. Some states require them to exit frame rails others require only turndowns after the cab provided you don't have a camper installed. It would be a waste of coin to redo a system and have to change it again later.

just my opinion (you asked) do what it takes to get it out the back. you'll be glad you did. "Exhaust should be heard, not seen"

yea i want it to run out the back because i like the look of my tips i have on it now, the only thing is i just did the echaust about 6 monthes ago (wasnt thinking about bags) so i dont want to just hack it off before the axle, i would like to just cut and section in some pipe in bolth sides of the over axle pipes to bring it up. is that a bad idea?

im not going for horse power, just a clean custom cruizer!

I won't be going with anything too terribly wide for tires so there will be room. It's a good point though if he wants pretty wide rubber.
I'll probably be ducking my exhaust outside the rails right from the start as my air tanks are inside the rails under the cab.
Lol what sidepipes aren't cool anymore?I was gonna do that to my 66 back in highschool but never got the cash together at the right time (maybe a good thing).

Re: exhaust and bags

on a side note if you plan to tow out the back isn't a good idea ...trust me..behind the rear wheels would be ok though
