Steering box differences...hydro or not
I'm making a junkyard run today to look for a good 2wd steering box cause I'm planning for crossover steering. However I'm also going with hydroboost brakes. Is there any difference in the steering box between a hydroboost & vaccuum brake trucks?

Re: Steering box differences...hydro or not
To my knowledge there isn't a difference. I put hydroboost on my 69 K20 and am still using an older style power steering gear box. I did have to have the high pressure end swapped on one of the hydroboost lines to work with my existing box. Swapping to a newer 4wd steering box would have made that unnecessary.

Thanks y'all...
I did find a good donor steering box on a '86 burb...$35. Also discovered a near perfect set of '69 metal door panels...$15. I love going to the junkyard!!!
