Oil Pressure Guage Fitting Help....

I just swapped my original 350 out of my 72 C10 LWB with a rebuilt 350 crate motor. The new motor was built using a newer block and I found out it is all metric. Nice surprise. Anyhow, my oil pressure line no longer fits. Anyone know where I could find an adapter or a metric fitting? Would it be easy to replace the end? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...

Re: Oil Pressure Guage Fitting Help....

Thanks for the help. I'll give them a shot, I went in there already and asked the kid about the adapter and he just looked at me with a blank stare and kept asking me what year the vehicle was. Seems that some of them cannot find a part without knowing the year of the vehicle. I'll have to find out what exact year my motor is. Anyhow, thanks again...

this I have got to see. I have never heard of a SBC with anything other than 1/8" NPT. for that matter they ALL have SAE bolts threads everywhere on the engine.

many SBC had metric bolts. We just installed a jasper 350 into a 96 van and had to replace all the vans metric engine bolts with standard SAE bolts.

Re: Oil Pressure Guage Fitting Help....

The mechanic told me the 87-later SBC some had metric sized fittings. He said the threads are just slightly different. Just enough to make the old fitting not fit into the new block I put in. Whatever....
