I am planning on putting in one of Nate's dropmembers and I thought I saw some tubular braces to replace the innner fenders, that also could support the hood hinges.

Check w/Nathan. He did offer hinges & adapters for pre-67 models.

We have been making a bracket that allows you to run the factory hood hinges and lay frame with up to a 27" tall tire. It comes with the bracketry to run the tubular supports to the core support. I am also working on some cowl mounted hood hinges (like the 67-72 versions we sell) that will work with a larger diameter tire... they will be available SOON.
