I could not pass it by!

I purchased a 1973 C10 Scottsdale short wheel base 82K actual mile garage kept for 1k. It has a ton of option on it. It has the 350 engine one car owner. The previous owner is my fathers life long neighbor. My dad use to do up keep on the truck years back when previous owner could drive. Since I have this truck now I am going to leave my 69 bone stock and restore it. If some ever ask you if black people can be red knecks just tell them yes. I am living proof. LOL

Re: I could not pass it by!

Enjoy the truck...

I had a former neighbor who bought a 74 nicely equipped SWB as his first and only new vehicle. He drove it for years but always promised it to me when he was ready to sell. Unfortunately he died when I was deployed and his unknowing family sold it for scrap since it had a dead battery.

Sounds like a real nice truck for a very good price. Can't wait to see some pictures of this one. What color is it? Just trying to build the mental image.

Re: I could not pass it by!

Here are a few shots I took after bringing truck home. Not bad for just a grand running. The hubcaps are in the truck bed, but I have a set of crager ss that will be going on. I have to replace some trim. It has to dents in pass side that can be repaired easy.

Not bad at all for a grand! Nice looking original truck. What does it have for options?

Re: I could not pass it by!

Great find. It'll look great with the Crager SS mags on it too! I know black dudes can be rednecks, one of my best buddies from HS was a black dude named Stan, he was also the BEST all round Cowboy I ever met. He rodeoed like a pro and never wanted to do anything but rodeo locally even though he was great. I often encouraged him to go pro even for a few years to earn some good money and he said he just loved the local circuit. Good man, great Cowboy. He also had a Chevy, a 1974 4 speed 4x2 like mine now. Except his was in perfect condition since at the time it was only a few years old!
