1977 shortbed
hey, i was just wondering if you can put a 1988-1998 chevy sport stepside bed on a 1977 chevy shortbed stepside and if so what is involved and if anyone has any pics that would be great.

It can be done, but the lines will not match up...at all. The later model beds are really round compared to our trucks. The bottom of the bed "curls" in more at the bottom too. They just don't match up well enough to justify the swap in my books.

X3. The 88-98 stepsides look good on the 67-72 trucks, but don't really work with the lines on the 73-87's in my opinion.
